Cross Stitch Annies

I haven't cross stitched anything in years but it was one of my first crafting passions. I used to spend hours upon hours cross stitching. Here is a picture of one of the first things I made; It's been on my walls in various houses for over 25 years and I still love it. It's a 16x20 frame with a country alphabet and quilt, very 80's but I love it!
Update: Both Annie's have been sold - Thank you!
I finished up 2 Annies today, I went back to my more primitive roots with these 2...they have crows, sheep and prim birds on their dresses. I thought little cross stitch pillow pins would look nice on their dresses. I stitched them up from patterns I found on 'Primitive Betty's' blog (link is to the right). My eyes aren't what they used to be so I definitely needed the reading glasses for these! Both Annies are 18" tall and made from prim stained muslin. They each have matching homespun bloomers that coordinate with their dresses. They have curly wool hair from primgal (link on the right). Their little cross stitch pillows are pinned to their dresses, I aged and primed them with cinnamon then baked them for a time worn and aged look. Blue annie has brown hair and tiny buttons stitched on for eyes, Green annie has prim burgundy red hair and a painted face. Annies are made to either sit or hang and come signed and dated. Please contact me at primdolls1@charter.net if you have any questions or would like additional details.
Thanks so much for visiting, Happy Sunday! Nancy
