Pretty Pincushion
I found this pincushion pattern while meandering thru the wonderful pages of etsy the other day. I loved the look of it and the colors the designer used and just had to have the pattern. I already knew what fabrics I would use when I purchased the pattern...it's from Designs by Des on etsy. I bought some wonderful fabrics yesterday and hope to get a few made this weekend!
Enjoy your day! Thanks for visiting, Nancy

Cross Stitch Annies
I haven't cross stitched anything in years but it was one of my first crafting passions. I used to spend hours upon hours cross stitching. Here is a picture of one of the first things I made; It's been on my walls in various houses for over 25 years and I still love it. It's a 16x20 frame with a country alphabet and quilt, very 80's but I love it!
Update: Both Annie's have been sold - Thank you!
I finished up 2 Annies today, I went back to my more primitive roots with these 2...they have crows, sheep and prim birds on their dresses. I thought little cross stitch pillow pins would look nice on their dresses. I stitched them up from patterns I found on 'Primitive Betty's' blog (link is to the right). My eyes aren't what they used to be so I definitely needed the reading glasses for these! Both Annies are 18" tall and made from prim stained muslin. They each have matching homespun bloomers that coordinate with their dresses. They have curly wool hair from primgal (link on the right). Their little cross stitch pillows are pinned to their dresses, I aged and primed them with cinnamon then baked them for a time worn and aged look. Blue annie has brown hair and tiny buttons stitched on for eyes, Green annie has prim burgundy red hair and a painted face. Annies are made to either sit or hang and come signed and dated. Busy Saturday
We had another snowstorm yesterday, school was closed...I'm anxiously awaiting Spring! I finished up these bunnies and annies this weekend. I love how they all turned out! All are handmade and designed by me. They're made from prim stained muslin that's been aged for a time worn look. All annies have curly wool hair hand stitched along the seam of their heads Annies have painted faces with tiny buttons stitched on for eyes.
I'm not sure if it's my computer or camera but the pictures look light and over exposed. Annies are not as light as they may appear. Please contact me if you would like more information on any dolls or would like to make a purchase.

Pink and Yellow Bunnies
I was looking at some pictures of dolls that I've made in the past and came across some bunnies that I had made around this time of year. Looking at them reminded me how much I miss sewing and creating. I decided that with the big blizzard we had this weekend that I would finish some sewing projects. Here are 2 very sweet but primitive bunnies in pastel pink and yellow. They were made from stained muslin that I coffee/vanilla/cinnamon stained for a time worn look. Their ears are wired so they can be bent or straightened. I hand stitched their face and whiskers. I added ric rac around the neck of their dresses. They are 16" not including their ears (21" from tip of ear to toe). I made them to either sit or hang. I love how they turned out...Yellow bunny is listed on Ebay. Thanks for visiting and enjoy your Sunday! Nancy
